Netanyahu to Egypt: 'Exhaustive' Probe Needed into Deaths of 3 IDF Soldiers
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called on Egypt to conduct a "thorough and exhaustive" investigation of the deadly incident Saturday during which an Egyptian policeman crossed into Israel and killed three Israeli soldiers over a period of several hours. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) authorities say the gunman was killed in a shootout with Israeli soldiers. He had been armed with an AK-47. Two of the dead soldiers were shot in their border guard post in what the IDF said was a drug smuggling operation.
