NBC's "A.D. The Bible Continues" 'Believes in Jesus Christ'
Fans of HISTORY’s The Bible will be happy to know it’s set to resume, so to say, in the new series from executive producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, A.D. The Bible Continues. This Easter, Burnett and Downey, and their new cast, take their retelling of post-crucifixion Jerusalem to NBC.
New footage of the anticipated continuation has surfaced online, meshed with the Grammy-nominated Newsboys’ rendition of their hit song, “We Believe”.
This new music video matches the Newsboys' powerful lyrics with snippets from A.D. The Bible Continues with the hope of enticing fans and newcomers to the Bible to tune in this April 5th.
Each bit of “We Believe” points to life as it congregates with faith--a reality believers have wrestled with since B.C. ended and A.D. began.
Greater than the songs we sing
And in our weakness and temptations
We believe, We believe!
We believe in God the Father!
We believe in Jesus Christ!
We believe in the Holy Spirit!
And He's given us new life!
We believe in the crucifixion!
We believe that He conquered death!
We believe in the resurrection!
And He's comin' back again!
NBC is taking a leap of faith putting post-Jesus, biblical events on network television. It's a risk, but it's one that I pray pays off.
