YES DAY is a funny, enjoyable family comedy streaming on Netflix about parents who say yes to their three children for one whole day. YES DAY has a morally uplifting, redemptive worldview about loving one another, making sacrifices for others and giving to your family.

Allison and Carlos used to say yes to everything: sky diving, traveling the world, and much more. When they got married and started having children, things changed. They find themselves saying no to their children all the time. In fact, Allison is accused of being a very tough mother who says no to almost everything.

Even though she tries to tell them she was fun at one time, her children Katie, Ellie and Nando don’t believe it. When the parents go to the student teacher day at school, a teacher suggests they have a Yes Day, a day where the children get to pick the activity and the parents have to say yes, with, however, some guidelines. Carlos and Allison think this is a fun idea. When they present the idea to their children, Katie, their teenager, doesn’t believe they’ll be able to do it. Allison tells Katie she will be able to go to a concert festival by herself if Allison isn’t able to say yes the entire day. This is a chance to have a family day without any distractions.

Will Allison be able to enjoy the day with her children and will Carlos take the time off from work?

YES DAY is a funny, enjoyable family comedy with strong moral values and some implied Christian, biblical elements. The story itself doesn’t have much conflict to it, but it’s entertaining, with a short, concise length. The movie’s uplifting worldview and premise are all about spending quality time with your family. The movie also shows a mother’s love, a father’s sacrifice and a bond between a teenager and her parents. It also contains a positive mention of miracles, but also a light, implied suggestion of a same-sex couple.

YES DAY is a high quality movie that families can enjoy watching together. MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for younger children.
