They Mocked Her Bowed Legs

Glory was born a healthy child, but by the time she turned two, her parents noticed she had trouble walking.

Her father said, “She complained of pain. The doctors told us to give her fish and vegetables to strengthen her legs, but it didn’t help. She is my firstborn child and I love her very much. It hurts to see her struggle.”

CBN Reporter, Dan Reany, said, “As she grows, Glory's condition is only getting worse. It's getting more painful and more difficult for her to walk every day.”

Her father explained, “Children laughed at her and called her handicapped. She was really sad and didn’t want to play with anyone. There was no way I could afford surgery. It made me feel like I failed as a father, but I prayed for her every day.”

When a friend told them about Plaster House, a ministry supported by Operation Blessing, Glory and her father travelled 16 hours by bus to get here, and soon we arranged and paid for Glory’s surgery.

“She is a completely different child,” said her father. “Now when she comes home from school, the first thing she wants to do is play. When family and friends visit, she shows everyone that her legs are straight. I am so happy to see her playing and walking. It is a thing of wonder that people who don’t even know us helped my daughter. May God bless everyone who helped her.”
