Thank You for Giving Hope During COVID

Fort Worth, Texas

Because of the COVID-19 outbreak, many people have lost their jobs and now rely on food banks to help feed their families. In Fort Worth Texas, Operation Blessing partner, Life Unlimited, is doing all they can for those in need.

“We come up here and get donated food to help my family and put food on the table” says Francisco. “Without working or anything, it’s kind of hard to maintain support of the family, you know. We weren’t expecting none of this.”

Linda Wright says, “We have had – since COVID-19 – double in people coming for help. Operation Blessing has been a tremendous blessing to this ministry. The bulk of the food that are on our shelves comes from Operation Blessing.”

People line up in their cars several hours before the distribution starts so they can hear the pastor teach the Word of God. Robert doesn’t have a car, so he walks up to get food and even takes some to others in need.

“It’s a blessing cause you know it’s family and I always look forward to come when I can,” says Robert. “It means a whole lot cause sometimes I go out to bless other people with it when I notice they are hungry.”

Monty says, “Most of the thing I like about it is it ain't like any other food bank place. We go to church in the mornings before we do anything – you know before they pass out food. It’s the best place to go if you need help. They’re good people.”

“I appreciate everything they've done for me,” says Robert. “They’re beautiful people and because of their light shining, I let mine shine out the best way I can. I realize that there are people who care, cause I didn’t think there was any.”

“I really appreciate Operation Blessing for all the donations” says Francisco. “It’s really a blessing to have the food that we’re getting donated to us.”

Thanks to the prayers and support of Operation Blessing donors, food pantries all over the country are able to meet people’s needs in their communities.

Linda says, “We are thankful that you donate, and it’s because of you that the doors are open; and even though you may not be able to be on the frontlines with us, you still have a great part in doing it, because your money and your prayers keep us doing what we’re doing.”

“I wanna thank Operation Blessing for the blessings they give us,” says Monty. “Not just for me, but for people that’s more unfortunate than I am. Just thank God we have people like that in this world.”

Because of the COVID-19 outbreak, many people now rely on food banks to help feed their families. In Irving, Texas, Operation Blessing partner, Agape Connect, is doing all they can to help those in need.

“It’s been pretty rough,” Ulises says. “My wife and I got fired from our jobs. I’ve been without a job for a month already and we’re living out of our savings basically because there’s no sort of income.”

“Food is scarce in the stores and we are running out of everything and just trying to maintain the bills and the online schooling with the kids; and it’s hard, but we’re making it through. It’s very stressful and frustrating,” Lowanna says.

Schools are still providing meals to kids, but administrators know many families need extra support. The Irving School District called Agape Connect, and Agape Connect called Operation Blessing.

“Because of Operation Blessing, we are able to feed several thousand families today,” says Gerson.

To keep everyone safe, people drive through and have groceries placed into their cars. Thanks to Operation Blessing partners, parents like Jacqueline are able to feed their families.

Jacqueline said, “I’m able to put some kind of food to give to my kids. As long as they’re good, I’m happy. So this actually is a blessing that I’m able to provide for my children.”

“It means a lot to me, to my family, to all of us who lost their jobs. It really really means a lot,” said Ulises.

“Not a whole lot of people stepped up, but Operation Blessing did” says Gerson.

“From the bottom of my heart thank you,” says Jacqueline. “Not just from me, but many families out there as well and just, God bless you.”
