The 700 Club

From Homeless to Homeowner

CBN.com - “My first wife died of breast cancer and when she passed away I really floundered,” Scott Arnold told the 700 Club. “And I ended up being homeless in the streets of Tucson, Arizona.”

In 2005, Scott got off the streets--and the drugs. He became a Christian and learned about tithing. When Scott got a job working construction, he decided it was time to put what he’d learned into practice.

“It was very difficult at first, because for me to give money when I was just coming out of the streets was a big decision,” says Scott. “Well right away, I started seeing the supernatural favor of God. I went from living in a halfway house to getting my own apartment.”

Scott wanted to help others who were in recovery and began praying for a job at a local rehabilitation center. He was hired a few months later.

“I prayed for a month straight before they hired me,” Scott recalls. “Others had college degrees, were already working for the company, wanted that position and they hired me because they saw the love that I have for other people and how much I wanted to help other people get better.”

Scott was offered the position of Resident Manager in 2006.  Just three years later, he received another promotion.“God gave me promotions that no man could give me,” says Scott.

In 2010, Scott became a 700 Club partner. “Pat Robertson and the 700 Club are going out and impacting the world in an amazing way, especially here in the United States,” says Scott. “Helping poor people, helping disadvantaged people, building wells in countries like Africa and where people are starving to death on a daily basis. I’m not able to take missionary trips yet, but I can certainly give money to the 700 Club and be a part of what they’re doing all over the world.”

Today, Scott is happily married has a family. He owns his own home and considers giving one of the keys to his success.

“As I faithfully tithed over the years, God showed me the increase,” Scott declares.  “It’s an absolute miracle what Jesus Christ has done in my life.

“I lived in a cardboard box seven and a half years ago. I lived in dumpsters, eating out of dumpsters, and now God has provided an incredible home where I can have Bible studies in my house. It’s not a castle, but it’s my castle. I couldn’t do what He’s done for me. So if you’re out there thinking, ‘I don’t have the resources to tithe’; if you’re out there thinking,’It’s too much to ask,’ trust God.  You trust Him to be your eternal Savior, now trust Him with your money. It’s the next step. It’s the only step to take. And He will not let you down.”

Being obedient to God's truth made an incredible difference for Scott. Join him in partnering with CBN. You will make a difference in lives around the world, through medical missions, food and clothing programs, humanitarian outreaches and so much—all in the name of Jesus. Please join today.
