Spectacular Pictures from China

Life Magazine's impressive photo vault is now available to anyone via Google Images, and the results are quite stunning.  Two million pictures have already been posted, and a total of ten million photos will be available online.

While many of the iconic  images have been celebrated for decades, ninety five percent of them have been previously unreleased, providing a unique view of history through the lenses of some of the most talented photographers, like Jack Birns, who has some beautiful images that span the globe.

All of these images can be republished without additional charge, so you can enjoy some of them here, and see even more through Google Images.
