Exclusive: Scott Walker Says Washington Needs A Midwestern, Get Things Done Attitude
In an exclusive interview with The Brody File, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker says Washington needs a heavy dose of the midwestern “can-do” attitude. Walker may run for President of the United States in 2016. “We’re just kind of no-nonsense, there’s not a lot of flair, and we’re not about personalities as much as we are about just getting things done, Governor Walker tells The Brody File. “I think that comes out of our rural roots.”
The Brody File did this interview Thursday morning in DC. The Governor is on a national book tour. His new book is called, “Unintimidated: A Governor's Story and a Nation's Challenge.”

Let’s be clear about Scott Walker: If he runs for Commander-in Chief (or since he’s from Wisconsin, how about we call it Commander-in-Cheesehead) he will have a very realistic shot at winning the GOP nomination. I can see the race playing out as Chris Christie vs Scott Walker, two Republican governors who will position themselves as outsiders who get things done.
During our interview, Governor Walker talked about how some folks who voted for him also voted for President Obama. That will be a much-repeated line if he runs (and The Brody File predicts he WILL run).

Governor Scott Walker on his Midwestern Roots: “We’re just kind of no-nonsense, there’s not a lot of flair, and we’re not about personalities as much as we are about just getting things done. I think that comes out of our rural roots. My mother, for example grew up on a farm and my grandparents, the only thing they ever bought on credit was the mortgage on the farm itself. Everything else, even years after my grandma was a widow, she was still paying cash for cars, saving up for everything she purchased.”
