Sen. Rand Paul: I’m not a biblical scholar or a theologian but I would say that from my reading of the Bible I don’t see evidence that Jesus was encouraging an armed bringing of goodness to the World.

If Jesus were here to say I’m going to eradicate evil, I don’t think he meant through force and I don’t think many people would interpret his message to be one that he was for an armed reforming of the world.
